A new phenomenon has overtaken our nation this Pride: Children’s Drag Shows!

American kids are watching drag queens perform at an alarming rate -that rate being “at least once.” Concerned Americans are expressing disgust at this mass-indoctrination, stemming from a single event in Texas, and are living in fear that this one, specific performance will teach their kids all the wrong lessons.

A member of the local school board found it inappropriate for kids to tip drag performers. After seeing video of little ones hand over dollar bills while the Queens performed, she warned “we can not, under any circumstances, let children know that the arts are an option, let alone a potentially lucrative one.” The anonymous board member continued, “The last thing we need is people demanding we fund the arts.”

But much of the concern regarding drag shows coming from parents.

“It’s just wrong,” said outraged parent Karen Carinson. “These little kids are giving DOLLAR BILLS to these drag queens while they dance in costumes! That’s inherently sexual and basically stripping. It’s wrong and disgusting,” Carinson ranted, outside of the theater where her 5-year-old daughter, in full stage makeup, is about to have her dance recital. At the time of reporting, Carinson has paid her daughter’s dance studio up to $900 in classes, costumes, makeup, and tickets. Her daughter will not see a dime of that money. Ever.

Even childless adults are perturbed by this idea of kids at drag shows. “I cannot get on board with this,” reports conservative comedian Jim Logara. “Kids tipping these performers? It sends out a very dangerous message.” Jim runs a comedy showcase that pays seasoned comedians in drink tickets and exposure, and does not reimburse for mileage. “It’s a shame to see what the world has come to,” said Jim.

At the time of publication, activist groups are forming across the country to combat this dangerous practice. “We must put a stop to this,” said a member of the group Moms Against Tipping Artists (MATA). She continued “what’s next? Tipping hair dressers and servers?”
